Couple months ago I learned that a house in my town was a base for swinger parties on saturday nights. The couple was as conventional seeming as it got. Guy was an accountant, woman was stay at home mom. Were (still are) really nice people. Thing is, for the most part nobody cared. Place was quiet, nobody was bothering anybody and view was basically, to each his/her own.

I remember a lot of people back in the early seventies who thought they'd missed out on the sexual revolution getting into this. I was young then and thought it was kind of pitiful. I still do.

I think I accidentally deleted my comment. If not, forgive the repetition. Back in the early seventies when I was young, still in college, a lot of people on the east coast got into this stuff. They felt they'd missed out on the sexual revolution. At the time, I thought it was pitiful. I still do. But everyone I ever knew who was involved in swinging ruined their marriages. Affairs can begin for a variety of reasons. Swinging is just for "pleasure." Somehow, it's difficult for committed relationships to carry that kind of weight. But I am surprised to see how it is apparently flourishing today with all the worry about STD and HIV. Nobody worried much about that stuff back then.

In all honesty marriage in general is in trouble, more fail than succeed even in monogamous relationships. At least in a open relationship it's not a surprise to find out your wife has been boinking Bob from the office for the last two years, hell it's probably on video somewhere. That brings up another thing, couples will sometimes video their adventures and sell it on their own websites to help pay monthly bills and for extras they may not otherwise be able to afford. I know it's not for my wife and I, she has already told me what my opinion is so I'm dead set against it,,,,,but.lol

If one head is good then two heads must be better right? But seriously now not all people who are married and do love each other have a satisfactory sex life, some have medical concerns that exclude their partners desires or some just have more desire for sex than the other. That doesn't count for those who like to watch their spouse perform so to speak, people compare it to being in their own Adult movie. It takes very confident couples to do this or their doomed before they even begin, jealousy can come from know where and be about the silliest little thing some times. I have friends who live the life style and I've watched them socialize with their groups but I can honestly say I haven't joined in. As I said before my wife is not of the mind that it's for us and any decent spouse must respect that.

The stress it puts on a marriage is not worth the supposed pleasure.
Why get married if you want to diddle other people?
I mean there are enough single men and women out there searching for sex all the time. Why commit yourself if you don't want to remain true to the one you marry?
I'm sure they'll find after a while they are bored with the other people they become involved with.
Why not just work on making things with your married spouse better?

I've done some things I won't discuss. Believe me I speak from experience when I say one is better off working on things with their spouse.
I'm not trying to be judgemental nor prudish. I've seen and done more than you might think. I was always considered a very handsome and virile man. I'm just saying in the long run - to me - it is better to remain faithful and have that special bond with your spouse.
